    It's Time For...

    Thursday Grab Bag.

I have heard on several occasions that South Korea has all the good looking men (effeminate male pop singers aside) and the North has all the good looking women. Judge for yourself here. (Via The Marmot)
Blue and Brown asbestos found in #2 Line subway station roof. Yummy! I'm taking the bus. The Korean Meteorological Agency is predicting record levels of yellow dust heading our way via China's Gobi Desert. And on a related note, it's supposed to be freezing this weekend, (all via The Lost Nomad) but not as cold as the print version of the Korean Times would have you believe. This morning it said to expect lows of minus 40! There's probably a point missing there somewhere.
Kevin at Big Hominid's Hairy Chasms reminded me of the fun time's I had at school making Shwarma - which I think are a Turkish variant on the Gyro. His Gre/Rom class made them, complete with Tzatziki in this series of posts.
David shares my frustrations with idiots who proffer up email addresses and then never respond. Twats!
In a series which I like to call "You Think They Would Have Done Something By Now", The Metropolitician expounds on some more thoroughly depressing insights into the Korean Education System.
Joel has returned (from where I'm not sure...Where have you been man?) and relays an all too familiar experience. God Bless Korea and it's sometimes quirky nightlife.
I'm glad Stef isn't my mum! Here are some pictures to go with.
And on a personal note, I forgot to mention I went to immigration on Tuesday morning to apply for my new Alien card and was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Much to the annoyance of several Poe-faced Canadian looking types. God bless Korea and it's Internet reservation system for immigration matters. (where's the link you say? That's my little secret...)
