Crossing The Line
Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 8:19 PM Speaking of Our Friends to the North™ I had some time in the weekend to watch Crossing the Line, The documentary by Daniel Gordon about US Army defector Joe Dresnok.
Here's something of a trailer:
And recently Aljazeera had an interview with Dresnok in Pyeongyang:
One imagines it's reasonably difficult to...ahem...obtain...ahem... a copy here South Korea, but if you do find it, it's well worth a watch, as are Gordon's other documentaries, A State of Mind and The Game of Their Lives. (The former of which I have seen, but have yet to find a copy of "Lives" detailing the only North Korean football team to make the World cup.)

I almost bumped into his son when I was Pyongyang but didn't know who he was until british guide told me after the encounter who the western looking dude by the juche tower was.
Spooky.
This was on TV last night, and I caught most of it. Really interesting. I had no idea who the guy was. At first he sounded like a prick, but he sounds like he has his head on straight. At least compared to Jenkins.
