Out The Window
Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 3:02 AM The other night, as I thought about crawling into bed, and as it rained heavily outside I heard a worrying screech followed by a dull thud.
Never one to let an opportunity pass I grabbed my camera and hung out the window snapping these shots of a (somewhat minor) accident between a late model sedan and what I assume is a crazy delivery man, which occured right outside my house:
No it wasn't the taxi that hit the dude on the bike. That's just a Korean taxi driver doing his thing.
Then the cops arrived:
Just another night in Seoul for The Thin Blue Line I imagine. The delivery man seemed much or less unhurt and walked away from the scene.
As an exercise in Photography this is the first time I have got to use the super high ISO setting on the camera even though I've had it for a year. The advantage of the high ISO being the ability to take photos of fast-ish moving things in really low light. As you can see the images are rather noisy, (notwithstanding the compresion after sticking them up on Picasa) but even into digital zoom territory like the photo above (from memory x15 - about 72mm focal depth) the image comes out pretty clear.
Korea,
