This weekend Nanoomi.net held the first (of what I hope are many) parties bringing together our bloggers, readers and our Korean counterparts for a night of Bulgogi Burritos (Thanks Joe), Makkoli (Thanks Evil Jen), Card Tricks (Thanks Ajosshi Paul) and presentations on Korean Literature (Charles "R. Wellor" of KTLIT) and Political Blogging (Marmot's Hole's R. J. Koehler).
Other luminaries present included Anna from IndiefulRoK (So cool to meet in "real life"), The titular Lee of Lee's Korea Blog, Long time nemesis Niels Footman, as well as the usual suspects, Joe, Rob, Mike, Dan Gray, and of course yours truly.
Also on the entertainment card - and my new music girly crush - Pika, who I was only vaguely aware of thanks to one of Anna's posts on last week, and whom I am now wholly and totally in love with in the most 15 year old school boy sort of way. (And her music is way cool.)
As some of you know I haven't been on top of my game this week, but it was great fun to get out and about with the good people that make up Nanoomi.
Find below an assortment of snaps from the evening, sans commentary.
Sonofactory is an awesome venue by the way. A cafe by day (Good brunch menu) Sonofactory is also a metal working shop and silversmiths. Good for all your Jewelry requirements.
And in case no one else gets round to saying it, The Nanoomi editorial team (Board?), Hannah, and Especially "Dr Yoo" deserve warm fist bumps of appreciation for their organizational skills setting up our party!
