Anyone for Octopus?

[Update:] A couple of people - who like Nakji Bokkeum) have asked where in Myeongdong The restaurant we went to is. Behold the map below...

Out yesterday with Joe and the Gang and a KBS cameraman eating Nakji Bokkeum, literally fried octopus:

Gochu Jjang, Onion and Octopus make for a heady mix

Joe playing the role of interviewer

HalMae NakJi  - the scene of the crime in Myeong-dong, Seoul. According to the sign they have been around for 60 odd years making this stuff.

Check out KBS' morning programming on Tuesday to catch the action along with other Nanoomi bloggers Simon ad Martina from "Eat your Kimchi" and the ubiquitous Mike Hurt.

It's been 30+ years since I've eaten any, but I thought nakji bokkeum was cuttlefish.

Nakji- Octopus
Oh Jing Oh - Squid (Cuttle Fish)

Not that the distinction really holds any sway with me - I can't say I enjoyed myself, eight legs and a whole lot of Gochu Jjang....I don't think I could tell the difference.
